While learning to make ‘acrylic skins’ some years ago, I thought it was a good idea to to do so on the plastic of my unwrapped canvas.
It was not until the acrylic paint had dried and I peeled the skin off the plastic, did I realize that the wrapping is covered with many tiny perforations. My wet paint had penetrated though onto the surface of the canvas and so began my abstract ....
